COFUND SIRCIW Fellowships Scheme

The SIRCIW Fellowship programme is a postdoctoral fellowship scheme part funded by the European Commission under Horizon 2020’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND scheme.

The programme will support up to 90 fellows to work with stellar researchers in Wales.

The scheme is part of the Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales, Professor Julie Williams’ strategy to increase research capacity in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) related subjects.  The programme is also open to researchers working in relevant areas of applied social science.

The programme is designed to attract the highest calibre candidates to work in excellent research groups within Welsh Universities.

Fellowships will normally be 3 years in length and can involve collaboration with a relevant commercial partner.

Individual researchers should:

  • Have 3–5 years of experience post-PhD
  • Have not been resident in the UK for more than 12 months in the last three years

You can apply for a fellowship by submitting an outline of the research you would like to carry out within a host institution in Wales.

If you would like to apply for a fellowship, please read the eligibility criteria and follow their procedures on How to Apply
